Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you enquire about or purchase our services: your name, business and contact details, project brief, correspondence, supplied content and artwork, approvals, invoices and payment records. Please provide only personal information needed for the project and ensure you are entitled to share it.
Our website provider, Wix, also processes technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, security logs and cookie information. Payment providers, where used, process payment information under their own privacy notices; please do not email card details to us.
Why we use information
We use enquiry and project information to respond to requests, prepare quotations, provide agreed services, manage revisions and communicate with you. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract or performing a contract with you. For business contacts acting for an organisation, we rely on our legitimate interests in managing that business relationship.
We retain accounting and transaction records to meet legal obligations. We use proportionate security and administrative records for our legitimate interests in protecting our systems, preventing misuse and resolving disputes. We consider your rights when relying on legitimate interests.
Marketing emails are sent only where permitted by applicable data protection and electronic marketing rules. Where consent is required, we obtain it first. You can opt out at any time by emailing us or using an unsubscribe option. We do not sell personal information.
Who receives information
Information may be processed by Wix for website hosting and operation, our email and IT providers, payment providers used for a transaction, and professional advisers such as accountants. We may disclose information where legally required. Suppliers receive information needed for their role, with appropriate contractual protections where required.
If you ask us to support a trade mark application, approved applicant and application details may be submitted to the UK Intellectual Property Office. Application information can become publicly available on its register. We obtain your approval of the application before submission.
Storage, transfers and retention
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards, transfers must use an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
We keep information only while needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Retention depends on the project, ongoing relationship, applicable accounting obligations and any dispute or legal claim. We review records and delete or anonymise information no longer needed. You may ask about the retention period applying to your records.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies support website operation and security. Any optional analytics or advertising technologies must be assessed before activation and, where required, used only with your consent. Browser settings let you block or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies can affect functionality. Contact us for information about the cookies used on this site.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
Email info@create-marketing.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity and will respond within the applicable statutory timeframe. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to address a concern.
Updates
We may update this notice when our services or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
